Flea and Tick Prevention

As the sun begins to return, so do those pesky parasites, fleas, and ticks. We found some really great preventative steps on the AKC site to help! Though it refers to "dogs" the basic steps apply to cats as well. The natural flea spray is for dogs only and they probably don't have a size in the coveralls to fit your cat.

Taking the suggested steps will help, but for the ultimate protection against fleas we suggest, Spinosad. Spinosad is a natural derivative of a harmless bacteria. It is a healthy alternative to the more toxic applications available.

Many clients have noticed that products like Frontline™ have become less effective in recent years.

We offer Comfortis, which is the first FDA approved, chewable tablet that kills fleas and prevents flea infestations on dogs and cats for a full month.

For a more complete solution for your dog, we offer Triflexis. Triflexis combines Spinosad with an effective heartworm preventative ingredient (milbemycin oxime). Mosquitos spread heartworm, and that season is upon us as well...

We can also provide solutions for ticks, cat heartworm and most other parasites known to all household pets including birds and rodents. We would be happy to discuss the right solution for your loved one, just give us a call!

Until June 1st we'd like to take a little more of the bite out of parasite prevention for your pet. We'll take 10% off all new prescriptions for the products we offer!

Just give us a call and mention this special offer, and we'll help you select the correct products, and discuss with you any required testing or examinations that might be needed. Call us at 707-544-1313!
